On Friday, Sept 19th, local playwright Bill Donnelly presents a re-working of his most recent play, “Silverstein” in cooperation with Harmony Presents. Managing Director of Harmony Presents, Jill Carletti explains, “Audiences thoroughly enjoyed his past work, “The Tenant” as well as the first production of “Silverstein.” Audiences have always enjoyed the Talkback after the reading. During these Talkbacks, Bill would ask the audience what they enjoyed and what they felt could have been improved upon. This second reading will include those changes.” “Silverstein” is a 90 minute play about a widower, Harry Silverstein who is married to Ruth Silverstein, a widow, for ten years. Harry wishes to leave his fortune from the sale of his business to Ruth’s son and nothing to his two daughters. Ruth objects. At Ruth’s request they go to see Ms. Sandrine Katz, Esq., a Trust and Estate Lawyer who specializes in writing the wills of famous people. Her philosophy is to write one’s will out of love and not anger. She is also a magician who practices on her clients.
