On Friday, May 12, four-piece Americana band, The Appleseed Collective returns to Hawley, PA. “The Appleseed Collective is poised to become the new sound of string music. Riding the wave of the bluegrass revival beyond newgrass and into a strange new genre-bending territory, they explore the full range of dark and light, old and new, composition and improvisation in a deeply theatrical stage show that transports audiences through time. The Appleseed Collective has toured these United States since 2010, serving up songs new and old—barn-burners, old soul jazz, airy mood pieces, bluesy digressions—to crowds hungry for more. Their music is a rich Dixie-Gypsy roots-music mélange with a modern twist, a long-simmering stew of old-time, ragtime, and bluegrass constantly refreshed—like the Melting Pot itself—with immigrant sounds and international spices,” says Jill Carletti, Managing Director of Harmony Presents.
“This is music best served alongside a roaring campfire, but that also has the ability to challenge the rafters of any grand arena,” says Joshua Pickard from Beats Per Minute.
