It’s a day I never thought I’d see…they actually paved 715. If you’re a local you know that road is one of the windiest, bumpiest, most accident ridden roads in all of the Poconos.
This past fall they started “work” which consisted of adding new grates on the side of the road. Well, whether winter came quick or they just ran out of time there were GIGANTIC holes left over the winter that could literally swallow a person if you weren’t paying attention.
They added some cones in the spring – nice touch but still a major hazard on a road that has had more then it’s fair share of accidents and fatalities. The lack of a guardrail doesn’t help either…but enough complaining.
The silver lining is that the road got paved, and quickly so at least it appears to have been widened and seems at least a little bit less bumpy.
I still avoid it like the plague, especially in the winter, but it’s definitely a welcomed improvement.
