On Saturday, December 6th at 8pm, dynamic and fiery Gypsy Jazz band, Rhythm Future Quartet performs in the underground theater of the Hawley Silk Mill. “The quartet features Jason Anick on violin, Olli Soikkeli and Vinny Raniolo on guitars, and Greg Loughman on bass. Over the years they have individually been performing alongside notable musicians like John Jorgenson, Frank Vignola, Tommy Emmanuel, Bucky Pizzarelli, Andreas Öberg and Howard Alden and have finally joined forces to form this special group. We’re so excited for this incredible performance. Django Reinhardt, the father of Gypsy Jazz would certainly approve,” says Jill Carletti, Managing Director of Harmony Presents. She adds, “Jason Anick and Olli Soikkeli, the front-men and lead soloists of the group, have been receiving critical acclaim this past year and are considered ‘rising stars’ in the world of Jazz and Gypsy Jazz. The prestigious Wall Street Journal proclaimed, ‘Olli Soikkeli, is a riveting Finnish guitarist who combines astonishing dexterity and speed with pure soul in a way that places him among the worthiest current day successors to the legacy of the great Django.’”
The theater is located on the lowest level of the Hawley Silk Mill at 8 Silk Mill Drive in Hawley, PA. Tickets are $15-$20 and can be purchased online at www.harmonypresents.com or in person at 209 Main Avenue in Hawley, PA. Cocoon serves wine, beer, mixed drink options and snacks during the show.
