If you’re not familiar with AWSOM (The Animal Welfare Society of Monroe County), they are a shelter that came about when the SPCA of Monroe County up and shut it doors one day back in 2009 and they stepped up to the plate to take care of and find homes for animals in the Poconos.
Their contest “The Real Housepet of Monroe County” has an entry fee of $10 and all proceeds will go to support the animals at the AWSOM shelter. They are accepting photos entries from July 27, 2012 to August 24, 2012.
There are 5 prizes for First , Second and 3 three place winners. Go tour AWSOM webpage www.awsomanimals.org Voting will begin August 25, 2012.
