It’s been 3 weeks since the ambush at the Blooming Grove State Police Barracks and Eric Frein has still not been caught. To outsiders it probably seems like old news by now, that things have slowed down, and they’ve moved on. For the Pocono Mountains community and surrounding areas it’s still very much a part of our everyday lives. We see daily and first hand the hard work that our law enforcement is putting in to find Eric Frein and bring him to justice.
Donations for state troopers have been pouring in and throughout the area there’s blue ribbons, blue lights and other signs of support. Although it’s been a rollercoaster of emotions ranging from hope to fear to guarded optimism, the community as a whole has stood by, and will continue to stand by until this comes to an end. Residents are coming together to do whatever they can to support the troopers and the community as a whole.

PSP Strong
PSP Strong was formed by Wives of Pennsylvania State Police who are selling PSP Strong T-Shirts with all proceeds going to the victims of PSP Blooming Grove. They have a recently launched website www.PSPStrong.com that will answer many questions about where to buy t-shirts, prices and more. They also have a facebook group as well where you can view more information. They ask that you “Please DO NOT call any State Police barracks or 911 Centers asking for information about merchandise. All information regarding of the shirts will be posted on this website or our facebook group.” The T-Shirt sales have been very popular so they are only selling 5 per customer and are currently NOT taking any online orders. Please be patient as many people want shirts and they are doing all they can to make them available.
There are also decals and wristbands available at many of the T-Shirt sales. Please be sure you only purchase merchandise through their sales that are listed on their website. If you purchase items from anywhere else they’re not guaranteed that they will be going to the victims of PSP Blooming Grove fund.
You can use #PSPStrong to show your support on social media.

There are many other local businesses and groups that are holding fundraisers, collecting donations, etc. but there are also scam calls going around as well. Please be sure to do your research on any location you donate money to or purchase items from to make sure they’re supporting the cause and are not scams.
Thank you to our community, the PSP wives and families, the troopers and all law enforcement that have been working so hard these past 3 weeks. You have come together to show that even in times of darkness that we can still shine bright.
