2 Weekends ago it was a rare occasion that we were all up early, no school, and the “cranky” factor was at a minimum (anyone with kids knows eating out with cranky kids is not exactly fun). We decided to head out for breakfast and wanting to try somewhere we hadn’t been before we decided to go to Mollie’s in Stroudsburg. My husband had been there a few times before with his dad and brother for lunch but I personally never had been and nor had we ever taken our kids there.
The first thing I noticed as soon as I walked through the doors was that there was a good “aura” about the place. You know what I’m talking about – you walk into some place new to eat and either get that good “this could be nice” or the awkward “lets ‘grab a menu'” and run out of here. The “let’s get out of here” have been far and few between – but getting a really good vibe from a place is always a good thing.
So we sat down and ordered breakfast, they were very accommodating to the fact that we had kids and everything went very smoothly. Our waitress was nice, the prices were really reasonable, the food was good, overall it was a really nice experience. If you’re looking for a good breakfast they’re definitely a place to check out – for the same prices or less then the local “chains” it’s definitely worth it to stop by for a change of pace and a nice quiet breakfast in town.
