One of the great things about the Poconos(there are too many to count) is the entertainment factor. Being in close proximity to both Philadelphia and New York lends the area to a variety of entertainment including singers, bands, comedians, celebrities and more! Mike Posner will be in town tomorrow at the Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg for their spring concert. ESU and the Sherman Theater came together last year as well and had Asher Roth appear as a joint effort to bring people to the area and also have the students show what it’s like to produce a big event. It seemed to go over really well last year from a “local buzz” standpoint although this year it seems like I haven’t heard as much about it as last year.
If you’re interested it looks like tickets are still available – they’re $10 for ESU students (on campus) and $22 for the public – the show starts at 8pm. For more information you can visit the Sherman Theater Website: http://www.shermantheater.com/index.cfm?siteid=83&itemcategory=25144&priorId=0&ProductId=30403
Next week on April 15th you can catch Scott Stapp of Creed doing an acoustic performance, be sure to check their website often if you’re into music and looking for something to do.
