In between meetings last week we were looking for somewhere to grab a quick bite to eat and the Willowtree Inn in Stroudsburg came to mind. From the street it doesn’t appear to be much more then just a storefront, but the back dining room overlooks the river.
The food was great, and sitting on the deck you have a beautiful view that you don’t expect to see in downtown Stroudsburg, it’s definitely worth a visit. For lunch Eric had The Aristocrat – 4oz Of Grilled Filet Mignon Done To Your Taste With Swiss, Mushrooms, And Garlic On A Portuguese Roll. I chose The Russian – A Grilled Pumpernickel Sandwich Filled With Ham, Swiss, Turkey, Coleslaw, And Thousand Island Dressing. Both were served with coleslaw and mashed potatoes (Eric opted for the fries instead). We both really enjoyed our lunches, I especially enjoyed their mandarian orange iced tea – enough of an orange flavor to make it perfectly refreshing without being overpowering ‘orangey-y’.
