Monroe County SPCA Closes

The politics of it all makes me sick, and I'm not sure what the circumstances were that brought it to this conclusion, but all I can hope is that the animals that would be saved by the shelter (300-500 per month), find good homes. Mt Airy – Is anything coming back for local taxes?

I don't know the answer so if you know I'd love to get some information on it.  The Mt Airy Casino and Resort opened last October (2007) and there was talk of some of the money that was being collected would be used for local tax cuts, with the majority going to the state for their use.
