Career Fairs on October 14, October 20 and October 28
WHAT: With a potentially record-breaking snow season in store along with state-of-the-art new snowmaking technology, Blue Mountain Resort is gearing up for a busy ski season – aiming to hire over 300 positions from lift and snowtubing attendants to snowmaking and grooming jobs, culinary positions and more.
The year-round Pocono Mountains playground is holding career fairs for seasonal, full-time and part-time employees on Saturday, October 14, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.; Friday, October 20, from 4 to 7 p.m.; and Saturday, October 28, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. All new hires will receive a dual mountain season pass (for Blue Mountain and sister property Camelback Resort) plus significant resort discounts for themselves, family and friends.
According to Jim Dailey, general manager for the resort, Blue Mountain is anticipating a record-setting year this coming season. “Farmers’ Almanac is predicting a chilly winter with lots of snowfall throughout the east,” he said. “To ensure we have ample and consistent snow, Blue Mountain has emerged as an automated snowmaking leader, recently installing top-of-the-line snowmaking technology developed by TechnoAlpin to produce a near-perfect image of a natural snowflake.”
Home to Pennsylvania’s highest vertical – at 1,082 feet – in the Pocono Mountains, Blue Mountain Resort features 171 acres of varied and challenging terrain as well as some of the longest runs in the state.
