Day 10: House of Candles, Candles & More
House of Candles on Route 715 in Henryville, PA is a little bit off the beaten path for some folks, but is well worth the detour. We’ve stopped by quite a few times on warmer days just to see the animals that they keep out back behind the store. They have a large variety of birds and also mini horses – for my 2 year old daughter who is obsessed with ponies it always makes her day to see them. The store itself doesn’t look too large from the outside, but once you’re inside there is 4 floors of candles, an area you can watch candle making, and all sorts of little knick knacks to fill your home – or someone’s stocking.
They have a large selection of hand carved candles, so if you still need a gift for a sports fan, they offer sports candles like the Green Bay Packers candle shown here.
When it comes to Christmas and holiday gifts sometimes you run out of original ideas or original gifts to find, you might be able to find just the thing you’re looking for at the House of Candles.
