Living in the Poconos we’re all about nature and the outdoors. Whether it’s enjoying a hike in the spring, camping in summer, having a campfire in the fall, or skiing during the winter, we enjoy the four season weather of the Pocono Mountains to its fullest. I thought today I’d post just a few photos of the many different types of mushrooms that infiltrated our yard recently. Mushrooms are like snowflakes, you rarely find two that look the same, and they seem to magically appear and then disappear as quickly as they came.
Mushroom Set #1
These mushrooms are just really cool! They looked pretty similar but totally different.
Mushroom Set #2
This mushroom was nestled amongst these clovers and moss making for a magical scene. We often find four leaf clovers in our backyard as well, but alas there are none in this particular photo.
Mushroom Set #3
These tiny orange mushrooms can be spotted really easily as they are so bright and plentiful! From a distance it looks like someone scattered orange pieces of something in the yard, looking closer you see dozens of these small orange mushrooms.
Mushroom Set #4
You could easily mistake these mushrooms for flowers. They are flat on top and really blend in pretty well, but their stem is very ‘mushroom-like’.
